LA Kings Sleep Their Way To The Top
Well, here’s to Los Angeles and their first Stanley Cup. It was 45 years in the making. And a complete surprise considering that they were 8th seeded coming in. They were, without a doubt, the greatest underdog. There is no denying, however, that this playoff run has been nothing short of phenomenal. Vancouver was eliminated by the Kings in the first round, so their victory takes a little bit of the sting out of our defeat.
What a road record! The Kings went an unprecedented 10-1-0 on the road. No other team in Stanley Cup playoff history has had such an impressive run.
Last week, we talked about whether it had something to do with their sleeping situation. We’re pretty sure they were staying at the Hilton Doubletree in Newark. If anyone could find out if they stock Simmons Beautyrests there, I think we’re on to something.
After all, it makes sense that after a great, restful night on a Beautyrest mattress that the players would perform at their very best.
